Well, with an M of 5.5 I'd wait for a better spot than A8s from UTG, but I also don't think it's a terrible play. Certainly a lot better than many of the crazy plays we've seen.

If his stack was 800k instead of 500k, then it is indeed awful.

[/ QUOTE ]
Pushing A8s UTG with M of 5.5 is mathematically very bad. It is an awful play.

Restealing with J3o against someone raising every hand is a reasonable play. Button raises, SB reraises, push from BB with A3o is also a reasonable play.

Pushing with a junk hand in the right situation is often better than open pushing an OK hand UTG.

The chip has been described by tournament directors as "<font color="green">mint green</font> with <font color="brown">chocolate</font>."

Fred Goldberg raises to $150,000 preflop and gets a call from Kevin O'Donnell in the small blind and WeiKai Chang in the big blind. The flop brings the 952. O'Donnell checks, Chang moves all in for $180,000 and Goldberg calls. Chang reveals the A2, and Goldberg shows A4. The turn brings the Q, keeping Chang's pair of deuces in the lead. The river brings the 3, however, filling Goldberg's straight and giving him the hand. Chang is eliminated in 40th place, and will receive $247,399 in prize money.
