From Tao of Poker:

9:45pm... Bouncin Round the Room: Martn de Knijff got caught coaching one of the Swedish players. Not only is that against the rules, but he was using a media badge (not in his name) to get near his player by the inner media rail. TD Jack Effel made an annoucnemnt saying that "Media and spectators are prohibited from coaching the players."

I wonder how much of that has gone on this tournament.

jeff lisandro seems to be a bit of a hollywood star, no?

After a small raise Lisandro, Cheng Lu, and the button see the flop. The flop comes 10d5d2d and Lisandro checks. Lu bets $200,000 and the button folds. Lisandro thinks for a while and makes the call. The turn is the Jc and Lisandro checks again. Lu bets $200,000 again and after 5 minutes of deliberation Lisandro moves all-in for $760,000 more. Lu says, "I came here to gamble," and calls. Lisandro turns over Ad7d and starts yelling and celebrating with David Chiu who is watching from the rail. Lu turns over Jh10s and has only 4 outs to make a full house to beat Lisandro's flush. The river is the 9c and Lisandro doubles up to $2,800,000 and Lu is down to $350,000.

Not sure if this was mentioned already, but according to P5slive, Rizen now has Gold sitting on his immediate left :/

What kind of advice are the coaches giving? Specific advice (He's tight, bluff him, etc...), or general (keep up the good work, slow and steady, etc..)?

I remember one of Phil Gordon's friends giving him a general type of a tip at the WPT Shooting Stars tourney that he won, and it didn't seem that unethical.

According to Cardplayer Roundtower (nee David Murray) is 47th out of 53 with 600K. Blinds are 10000/20000 and the ante is 3000. He's going to make at least $164K.

This is becoming a very deepstacked tourney and the prizes are starting to explode, but players are still dropping like it's an online turbo super sat.

I keep expecting players to smarten up and realize they have lots of time and that survival has real value but ...

i was wondering if that was allowed. i saw JohnnyBax standing behind this guy in the 5k short handed event for HOURS coaching him. i thought it was bad etiquette but i wasn't aware it was a blatant rules violation.

Im pretty sure it was Mikael Thuritz he was coaching since he is part of the Martinspoker.com team, although I doubt thuritz needs coaching cause he's a kickass player both in tournaments and cashgames.
