Question, what is the difference between submitting the suit as the seven individuals vs as a class action suit? Is it because the settlement process would be easier to accomplish?

The big difference between a class action and a regular lawsuit is that you have to prove the validity of the class in a class action case. That is, you must first show the judge that you have a valid representative plaintiff(s) for the class, and that the class needs the lawsuit to happen. It is simply an extra hurdle that is not necessary. If our underlying cause of action is judged to be valid, then our "private" lawsuit would serve as a precedent for any other persons wishing to sue. Therefore, why go to the extra trouble of certifying the class? The most common reason for a class action suit is that it allows plaintiffs, each of whom individually does not suffer from a very large amount of damages, to work together and make the case cost effective. In other words, each individual member would never sue because the cost of trying the case overwhelms the award they could win if victorious.

In our case, we can afford to pay the legal fees, and we can take on this case for the good of ourselves and everybody else who wants to play in open field big-buyin events.
