I'm out in 774th, good for $16.5k

That was a fun donkament.

[/ QUOTE ]

Out 776 for 15.5. Crippled to 10k shortly before the bubble. Doubled and clawed back to 30k, then folded junk through the RforR into the $$ w 22k left. I'm pretty sure I then got moved to strassa's table (not exactly sure what he looks like - young kid in the 9/10 seat w Stars shirt and 460k chips a bit before the dinner break..?) Apart from my 22k, the smallest stack looked to be about 150k, with a few 300-500k's...I had no chance. Pushed K9 before the 2nd set of blinds hit me; AK just behind took care of me.

At least I can say I played poker at a table with around $2 million on it..

The quality of players was really soft, particularly for days 1 and 2. Totally weak/tight/passive, with some loosies thrown in there.

I played like crap today and throughout this tournament, but still got lucky and cashed. Meh, a major learning experience about all the work my game really needs. I made some real blunders.

I also made a correct decision to fold into the money once the round for round started, based on the very flat payout structure and my M of between 2 and 3. Doubling up would have done little for my overall $equity, but I knew I could fold into the money. So, I folded AK twice and took my $14.5k.

I feel weak and dirty, but it was the right $EV move.

[/ QUOTE ]

No shame in that, congrats on the score

Daniel Negreanu Takes a Pot with a Set of Aces
No Limit Hold'em Main Event
Aug 05, 2006 / 01:47:30 EDT
With the board showing A83J, Daniel Negreanu bet 15K, and his opponent folded. Negreanu showed AA as he collected the pot, increasing his stack to 56K.

Totally correct play; the payouts too flat to do anything if your stack is a baby one. I thought about it and decided to limp AK and push AA/KK during RfR w my 25-30k stack. Everything else prolly mucked (tho I mighta small raised QQ & limped JJ-99 to look for a set (my table at that point was seeing some limped flops).

Dmitri Nobles Bets $200,000 Every Hand?
Dmitri Nobles has $653,000 in chips. And unlike many players who stack 40 or more chips on each other with a giant chip stack, Nobles is stacking them in stacks of 20. They take up so much of the table, that he has $200,000 in chips almost over the imaginary line where a bet would be placed.

Asking to get angle shotted.

Dmitri Nobles
534,500
Down $-340,500

What happened here? His graph goes straight down at the end so I guess it must be a typo.
