I'd just like to add that I met Strasser for a few minutes walking back in, and he seemed like one of the more genuinely nice people there. I thanked him for his anthology post on creative tourney play. He is on my radar of players to root for.

Pocketfiveslive.com has Rizen over 50k, I think the update is about an hour old.

Blow Doubles Through Wellen
With about $6,000 in the pot and a board reading Aheart4spade5heart, Peter Blow pushes all-in for $18,400 and is called by Mark Wellen. Blow turns over AclubQclub for a pair of Aces, Wellen QdiamondQheart. The turn and river bring the Jclub,2diamond and Blow doubles up to $42,000. Discuss. |

[ QUOTE ]
Theo Tran raises to $1,700 from the cut-off, from the small blind William Hill announces a raise and puts $2,200 in the pot but he must at least double Tran's bet. The floor is called and the decision is made that Hill announced the raise and must double Tran's original raise. Hill does that and it is $1,700 more for Tran to call. [/ QUOTE ] Why would the floor rule this way? I agree with the ruling other than the amount of the raise. Assuming 300-600 blinds, Tran raised 1100. If Hill announces 'raise' and fails to put in a full raise, should he not be required to raise only the minimum, which is 2800 total? Instead he was instructed to raise to 3400. Am I off, or did the floor blow this? |

Ivey Gets Goin' On a board of A1038J, Phil Ivey is all-in for $24,000 with JJ and his opponent has AJ. Ivey doubles up to $49,000 which will surely make the rest of his table uneasy. |
