WSOP side game.

There was some action pre and I led out on the flop. Without a pause, Prahlad stood up, pulled out his schlong, dropped some rhymes, and raised. Now, I was pretty sure I had the best hand, (probably the nuts but I hadn’t looked at my cards yet) but if a guy with that kind of weaponry takes you deep out of position, you won’t like the results. And I tell ya, results are everything in this game. Leave that variance [censored] to the stat geeks. At this level, you only need to see 2 or 3 hands to know who is who’s bitch.

A lot of you guys probably think you’re hot shots beating the 25/50 on the net but this is a whole different game. Take all you thought you knew about Poker - pot odds, hand reading, game theory, flushes beating straights – and leave it at the door because all that Sklansky crap will get you hurt when you play for real money. If you want to be the man, you’ve got to play the man when you go man to man. Most of the time we don’t even bother dealing any cards. In real poker you just know when someone has the goods.

You can't teach this game but I'll give you one bit of advice that might just give you a shot. If the going gets tough you just put your hand in your pants and if you like what you find then put your chips in the middle. That's what Doyle means when he talks about playing by feel.
