Car Shopping, will spend up to 45k

Any thoughts on the 2005 Pontiac GTO? Been doing some research and it seems like a sick car. 400 hp, 0-60 in like 4.5 seconds. It looks sporty, fairly classy. Best of all, can be had at about 20k with very few miles on it. Downside, it only gets ~20mpg gas wise, and insurance will probably go up. It got an award for consumers best buy or some [censored]. thoughts? anyone have one? anyone drive one? Hoping to drive one relatively soon. what can I expect?
