The scene where Ellie and John Hammond talk alone over dinner at night in Jurassic Park. Out of place in that point of the movie and real boring.

Also, the scenes where Sharon Stone is absolutely crazy toward the end of Casino.

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] In Schindler's List, I hate the scene in the end where Schindler is bemoaning how he could have done more, how he could have sold his watch. [/ QUOTE ] This I really don't understand. Very powerful scene, and perfectly understandable emotions as the war finally ends. [/ QUOTE ] Basically, I thought that watching that scene was like having someone communicate a very basic idea with a sledgehammer. The same thought and emotion could have been expressed much more simply and effectively (as I felt was happening during the rest of the movie). [/ QUOTE ] I know what you mean, Wynton. You are saying that it is a trite way to portray the point being made. It is no, “I coulda’ been a contender. I coulda’ been somebody…” moment. (Excuse the poor analogy.) |

Put me down for Charles Grodin in "Midnight Run" [/ QUOTE ] Whoa there cowboy. Go watch the 'chorizo and eggs' scene and the scene where Grodin pretends to be an FBI guy, and report back. Grodin was awesome in that movie. |

I loved the movie Tombstone, but... ...the part where Wyatt Earp is stomping across the river, shooting the baddies and yelling, "No!" is really lame. [/ QUOTE ] Completely agree. This was absolutely terrible. |

The Terminator movies don't make much sense, since there isn't really an original timeline. But that doesn't bother me too much; time travel is always tricky.
I'm not sure if this counts, but many of the new scenes in Apocalypse Now Redux are terrible. The scenes where Willard steals the surf board and trades fuel for sex for the crew don't fit in with the rest of the movie, where he has a complete the mission at all costs attitude. I also found the French dinner scene to be very boring. |

I also think the end to Seven just sucks. It's one of those endings that makes you think it's cool just because it's so extreme, but the movie deserved better. [/ QUOTE ] I didn't like it at first either. Then I begain to appreciate how cool it is that how both sides won AND lost. It's somehow not a comedy or a tragedy (in the classic sense of the term). |
