Preflop: Looks good.

PostFlop: Interesting spot... I hope some other posters chime in on this. Anyway, I think the board is too drawheavy to check/raise and the pot is too big to fold. I think your best option is to probably play the hand as you described. I wouldn't want to check the turn and let your opponent take a free card on such a draw-heavy board. I'd prefer betting the flop if your opponent were more passive, but given your description of your opponent I think you are too likely to get raised for this play to be optimal.
