They both finished 2nd in the ME, twice.

Cloutier: 1985, 2000
Tomko: 1982, 2001

So, ignorning Antonius (who I can't imagine is going to last more a hand or two), we have:

Chip: M=32.5
Doyle: M=22.7
Bloch: M=17.3
Ivey: M=16.4
Bechtel: M=15.6
Singer: M=13.8
Tomko: M=8.1
Cloutier: M=6.5

I wouldn't want to be Cloutier or Tomko, but at least nobody is in the Harrington "Red Zone."

Check out the latest chip counts...

The cream generally does rise when there is nothing but cream in the pool.

The fact that Doyle is able to play 18 hours straight and finish in 2nd place is beyond belief.

I literally got chills when I looked at the chip counts this morning and saw that Chip and Doyle were on top. So cool.

With the antes, you never know. Obviously it's unlikely, but Antonius would only need to win his first 2 all-ins to build up to a playable stack again.

The fact that he was severely shortstacked at some point makes it even more amazing.

What's with the payout structure? Every spot is a $68K jump till you get to 3ed-2nd. Isn't that a little uncommon?

1 $1,716,000
2 $1,029,600
3 $617,760
4 $549,120
5 $480,480
6 $411,840
7 $343,200
8 $274,560
12 - 9 $205,920

16 - 13$137,280

Fantastic FT. A shame about Antonius losing most of his stack. I think he could have done some damage here.
