both of these freaked the hell out of me. i saw "event horizon" in the theatre and spent at least 10 minutes cowering down in my seat with my eyes closed and ears plugged.


of similar ilk was one called
"The Prince of Darkness" directed by John Carpenter.

in the middle of the night my brother and i viewed this movie (it happened to be the first time we were left overnight by ourselves). setting the scene was a heavy thunder storm with accompanying torrential rain and wind buffeting the house. when the film concluded, we recruited our dog to clear every room in the house---at one point he started barking and i nearly passed out.
