Private messages

I would like to confirm with everyone here if our private messages are in fact confidential here at 2+2. At bonuswhores, there have been private messages read by moderators there, I am told by a reliable source and reasoned through by logic. This concerns me very greatly. Thanks.

no way that jek would allow this at bw. if a moderator has done this, they should be banned from the site.

i think admins are the only one that can do it, so your source and logic are no doubt wrong.

i can assure you, without needing to get confirmation, that this would never happen at 2p2.

According to threads at BW Jek did allow this. Also looks like he lied to lots of people about who owns the site.

Look at the date. That's from 2004. That's where the accusation of lying comes in. According to other threads Jek made that whole story up and always has been the owner of BW.

I hate even stepping in this but an owner of another forum that has "declared war on BW" has been paying his posters $50 to spam a smeer campaign against BW at 2+2.

I didnt want to stick my nose and have stayed out of it for the months it has brewed but this is ridiculous. I like Jim and work for BW so I've tried to stay far away but this needs to stop. No PM's were read and is ridiculous for Jim to spread this crap just to try and trash BW's reputation. He has declared "war" against BW for being banned from there among other disagreements about how the forum has been moderated.

According to BW Management the ban was over PM spam. Then the person who received the PM said it wasn't spam and she didn't report it to anyone anyways. Now you are saying the ban was something else. Hmmmm sounds like spin doctoring. What about the lies told? If BW lies about one thing why should they be believed about something else?

So Jek sent you out to defend him Jon? For the record, I've always liked you too. I also always liked Jek but I've suspected for some time PM's were read at BW.

But first let me address your post. Yes I said I'd give out $50 to anyone who could post a thread a 2+2 about this. I knew BW possibly could contain this on your board and my site, AG, is pretty new and doesn't have the readers. 2+2 as we all know is huge and a story like this deserves to be heard. I give away free money all the time at AG. Hell I'm giving away a $1,500 WSOP seat on Wednesday. And AG doesn't even have a single ad or referral link, all that money comes out of my own pocket. But I digress...yes I put up cash to make sure people knew what had happened. That doesn't make it not true. Unlike Jek, I don't lie.

Management posted at BW that "Jim was banned for PM spamming." Yet you say I was "banned from there among other disagreements about how the forum has been moderated." I have not posted at BW since April 11, shortly after that I opened AG. Jek and I remained friends until I was banned. Jek had even told me (and yes I have chatlogs) it was okay to PM some friends on BW who I didn't have phone numbers or emails for. I hadn't PMd anyone lately until I sent a PM to June (details of which are already covered at BW and AG and were not spam). Boom, I get banned even though June has publicly said she did not forward the PM the anyone at BW.

This isn't the first time that PM's at BW got read. Several times all of a sudden Jek "knew" something that seemed fishy. Once it concerned a friend of ours and the info that Jek knew was only known by 4 people, none of whom spoke to Jek or anyone else. However JPMcMoney had PMd one of those people on BW and had discussed our friend and next thing I know Jek told me he knew about it. Or howabout this one? As BWers know, I ran Private Forum at BW and when BW created a pay casino forum I was given PF and allowed to break away. While this was going on a PF member and I floated the idea of having multiple tiers and having a secret higher tier. Less than 12 hours later Jek knew about this and talked to me about it (he wanted access) I asked how he knew about something that was only discussed in those BW PM's and nobody else knew. He said he "guessed", yeah right the timing was impeccable. We had to scrap the idea since it already wasn't secret and could damage PF.

There are other times also but the incident with June pretty much proves that BW (or Jek at least) read PM's. How else did I get banned for PM spamming when I sent one PM and the other party has stated she didn't forward it? What evidence was there that I PM spammed then? Only two ways to know that I PMd her, if she said something or if the PM was read.

Now I'm sure Jek will deny this but how can we believe him when he also told everyone in a post (and told friends to their face) that he "sold" BW to a foreign investor who was mysterious and unnamed. Jek and I have had many conversations about how he made that story up and he owns BW. As of February when I last saw Jek in Vegas I asked about whether he had created an offshore that held ownership (I was interested in starting an offshore corp of my own) and he told me that he had not but had looked into it. So not a shred of that story was true. What other lies have been told?

Was it wrong to offer up free money for posting the truth elsewhere? Perhaps but I stand by it. The truth hurts sometimes and I felt it had to be known that Private Messages weren't private at BW.
