Not only should sharing music and movies not be illegal, but they should be illegal to sell.

Just because you work hard at something doesn't mean you have done something valuable.

If Bill Gates would use his money to bribe African officials to make their laws more favorable to business and then invest there, it would probably be very affective. As it will probably be spent it will make almost no difference.

A computer has never aided a student to do anything but cheat.

Bumper stickers make no sense.

Life isn't valuable.

Love as most people imagine it doesn't exists.

Driving laws should only be enforcable when property is damaged or people are injured.

Natural selection isn't the best way to decide everything.

Same with majority rule.

Life is perfectly fair.

Patriotism is a little weird.

I can certainly see from your post why you don't have any friends, but no need to put the rest of the world down because of your shortcomings.

A quick scan through this thread should help [censored] find a few people worth culling. Political trolls are pretty much the worst breed ever.

You mean the requested, self-admittedly unpopular opinions people posted?

Or the [censored] responses of "OMG, that's so stupid", "I can't beleive you think that","your retarted", "your wrong and heres why"

No, I pretty much meant the blatently obvious troll posts, usually involving politics -- something I repeatedly said should stay the [censored] out of the thread. There's a reason politics and religion don't go in OOT. They just lead to contentious flamefests.

Granted, I had high school age students in mind more than college students. What would a kid do with a computer that isn't cheating? Basically, most of the "research" for papers probably ends up as plagerized material, or enables a kid to make progress without actually thinking for himself. I will concede that I should have probably said something more along the lines of 75-85% of computer use for school work is just to be using the computer, but the computer is providing nothing beyond traditional techniques. Even in a science education you only require computer simulations in graduate school or if you take a class specifically on computation as an undergraduate.

I can understand people that are for abortion and those that are against it. I can understand people that are for capital punishment and those that are against it. I can even understand the comfort irrational religous beliefs give people. I cannot understand someone taking a sticker and applying it to the bumper of his car.

People do it for the same reason they post to a message board. To share an opinion.

Personally, I don't have bumper stickers on my car, but I am amused by many I do see.

I am amused by every one I see, but probably not for the same reason. And a message board is for sharing opinions a bumper is not. I just don't understand why people think the rear of their car is a great place to share an opinion and why a sticker is the appropriate medium.
