Default Need tips to beat nl 100 10 max.

Hi everyone
I used to play limit 2-4 10 max and 1-2 6max and have beaten both games.

I have been playing 0.25-0.5 nl 10 max at pokerroom for about 5 months, since I have the bankroll I have been taking some shots att 0.5-1 nl at pokerroom and party, but I don't seem to be able to beat it.

Was thinking if you could give me some tips on what major differences there is in these two games. Or just how you beat the game. I need some pointers on where to start correcting my play.

Have run into many more set over set situations in 0.5-1 nl when it has been all-in. And when going through hands I have seen people slow down with low sets if their getting played back at. Usually I'm just glad to get the money all in.

I steal alot at the nl 50 games. But seem to get more calls at nl 100 games, when I'm on steals and less action with my good hands.

My stats are
VPIP 16
PFR 4
TOTAG 2

I will post more stats when I get back from work.
Thank you for your time Pete

Pete,

Please read the posting guidelines and the master sticky, including the FAQ. We are all here trying to get better, "getting tips" to improve our play. Your question is too vague and broad. And we can't tell much by looking at your stats.

Discuss issues that are being brought up in the hand threads. That will greatly help your game. It will get you thinking about poker in different ways, and you should learn many things. There's no poker-by-numbers kit that we can give you to beat the game. After you get the hang of things around here, post a few hands for analysis, where you had trouble finding the best lines.
