yankee fans will probably appreciate this, even some of you others might like it. this site has a bunch of john sterling calls from the last week or so, theres some hilarious stuff. make sure you listen to the randy johnson gets ejected one, sterling just goes off for two minutes. he is a very weak play by play caller and gets kind of annoying during the game, but at the end of games or for big calls i think he's hilarious. you can tell what a big yankee fan he is, he just goes nuts and loses his breath yelling.
one of his best ever was waaay back in the 4 game set in fenway (the one where leiter made his first start) at the end of the 4th game where mo was on the mound and the yankees and cano nearly gave it away, you could hear how relieved he was and he went apeshit when damon grounded out. it was a harmless dribbler to first but you could swear it was a 450 foot hr, he was screaming [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img] |
