the city can make all the noise they want from like 7 am -10pm. most people will complain if they do it later (plus they have to pay the guys more) so they do it in the morning. get some ear plugs, and sleep with them in.

[/ QUOTE ] i never got why someone who has no alarm clock necessary to wake them wouldnt wear ear plugs. before i had a job i wore them and slept much better. i wish they had ear plugs that vibrated when you were supposed to wake up or somesuch so i could wear earplugs and wake up when i needed to. rj

I've tried, but my whole house shakes from the heavy equipment they use. When they are tearing up the foot thick slab of concrete outside your house which is the sidewalk...nothing short of a coma is going to keep you asleep.

Also, I would understand if the construction began at 9am and wouldn't have a problem with it, but 7am is not the time the world usually wakes up at.

Earplugs=Gold Unless you need an alarm to wake up... [/ QUOTE ] I wear earplugs and wake up to an alarm every day. Just make sure your alarm clock is near enough and loud enough that you can hear it through the plugs.

Forgot to add...
When I lived on the fringe of campus, I lived under the same circumstances (7AM construction of a non-campus building). Sabotage is the way to go...my buddy drove some piece of construction equipment into a nearby ravine. Construction company left keys in ignition=pwnage
