[ QUOTE ] Recently, a gambling cowyboy-type named Montana Mike sat down at the 10/20 game at Bellagio and said to me "You've got 10K there kid? What's it gonna take for that to get in the pot? Set vs. set? Flush vs. flush? You ain't got the balls to gamble in this game pal" I immediately sized him up and offered him to flip him for his stack (exactly 3K). He started backing off, talking about how he can do it but won't so I keep telling him we can do 3 1K flips, 1 3k flip, whatever he wants. He backs off. At this point, one other guy with 5K is like "Bet you won't flip me for this stack." I pull out a coin and tell him to call it in the air and flip it up. As the coin is in mid-air, he says "never mind, forget about it." I've now offered 6 people to flip for their stacks (all of them at least 3K) in the last 3 days and not a single one has taken me up on it. [/ QUOTE ] I WOULD! Actually if you gave me AK and gave yourself queens I would still do it. I guess most recently the 300/600 limit game on UB [/ QUOTE ] I am absolutely not surprised by this. What's funny is I had fun offering to flip because since I've quit blackjack the thought of getting a 0 EV gamble almost seems +EV. But if you actually wanna give me an AK vs QQ "coinflip" I'll accept that any time. PM me for details. |

While at turningstone, waiting for my chinese food I played high card and flipped coins for 100 dollars a round with Genius28 and 1 of his friends.
Edit: I just read FF's reply and realize my story sucks balls in comparison. Sorry. |

I take 0 EV gambles all day. I was sitting with john juanda, and a few other random people at 25/50 NL and first guy would raise to 1k preflop adn the rest would call, then we'd check to river. We did this a bunch, slightly -ev gambling is fun Especially on full tilt, when there's a whole parade of observers having no idea what's going on. |
