Until you can answer this question for yourself, you have no reason at all to play more hands. I play Miller's tight recommendations, with variations for situations, and my VPIP hovers around 20. I feel that's a bit loose for my postflop ability though.

make sure you arent gonna play hands you dont want to just because your VPIP is low, but jeh play KTs-KQs, QTs-QJs, might also want to add hands like Q9s K9s ATo J9s T9s 98s MP

I also play Kxs and Q8s+ if I am fairly sure I can get in for one bet with a bunch of people in the pot. I then c/f any flop where I don't hit at least two-pair or 4-flush. This is most of the time. Whenever I hit I usually pick up gigantic pots so overall this seems to work well for me.
Note, however, that this only works at very loose tables (50%-60% to the flop) and that I am a n00b with not many hands under my belt so this could be entirely wrong advice. |
