This is Manning's comment after the game.

"I'm trying to be a good team mate here, but I had some protection problems."

What a 100% douchebag comment.

You'll get no argument from me, totally out of line. I agree they need to be called out, but Jesus God man do so in private.

If you line up the Colts and Steelers 100 times, the colts might win 95, but not today, and the Steelers advance.

[/ QUOTE ]

LOL! Good one. I'm surprised you'd give the Steelers that much of a chance. Actually, the Steelers were probably more like 99-1 against. If the Steelers and Colts play 100 games, the Steelers only would win one. Luckily for the Steelers, they just happened to win this first one. Look for them to lose the next 99 matchups.

[/ QUOTE ]

Ok I admit defeat, the, what appears to be, many layers of sarcasm have made my eyes go crossed.
Are you saying the Steelers were not a large underdog to the colts?

[/ QUOTE ]

I submit that the Steelers were not 19-1 against as your original post implied. I would say something more like 5:4 or 3:2.

segue: Oh snap! I just saw Manning slam his O-line in his post-game press conference. What a loser.

[/ QUOTE ]

5:4, well hindsight is a wonderful thing, but I'm sorry I can't see it being that close, this game was, but if we had some magical vaccum to run this experiment in, I think the results would lean torwards blowout.

Bradshaw called him out too, that was great. I couldn't believe that though. What a joke, calling out his teammates in the post game press conference. No respect for him after those whiny comments.

Ditto. Bradshaw really ripped Manning for that on the half-time show. He said it doesn't matter what happened, you don't say anything about it in public. You work it out, get over it, and go on to next year.

This confirms my theory that Manning took those sacks in the last drive because he didn't want to be the goat. He knew he could blame the loss on his O-line. I'm not saying that he wouldn't have thrown to an open receiver if there had been one, but rather that Manning was not going to take a chance on that second-to-last drive because he knew he could shove the blame to his O-line. Brady would have thrown the ball regardless of the chance of an interception because he doesn't care about his own image, but just wants to win.

He'll need some protection from his own teammates after that comment.

This is how I view it.

You have one game with your life riding on it.
You pick one QB to play with the Houston Texans Offense and your D is the Chicago Bears.

Your playing a solid pressure defense.

Who do you pick to be your QB...Brady or Manning.

I take Brady without even having to think about it.

Brady without question, but that isn't Mannings strength and I'm thinking you know that. Brady is the best in the league at running a simple, effective offence (I hate the term system QB, bucause that term trys to take away from Brady's skill) but Manning is the best at running a high-powered offence.
