CBSSportsline league. 12 team league. 6 pts for passing TD; everything else pretty standard. In the 4th round, I took too long and the site autopicked Tom Brady for me despite the fact that I just picked up Bulger. Thus, my plan to pick up a first tier WR there was lost and that has hurt my draft but what do you think otherwise. I picked 3rd in a snake style draft. Max of 7 WR/RBs in the draft. (I put in waivers on Mewelde Moore, giving up Miami DEF).
Peyton was picked first. Bulger, Marc QB Brady, Tom QB Alexander, Shaun RB Westbrook, Brian RB Suggs, Lee RB Smith, Rod WR Walker, Javon WR Bryant, Antonio WR Johnson, Keyshawn WR Clark, Dallas TE Graham, Daniel TE NE Reed, Jeff K Falcons, DST Dolphins, DST |

Rogers K None (but I'm not sweating it) D R. Lewis D B. Urlacher DB E. Reed DB T. Polamalu DL J. Peterson DL D. Morgan BN M. Peterson BTW I'm going to drop C. Rogers and L. Suggs and pick up a kicker and B. Jacobs. Also K. Warner is available, I'm thinking bout picking him up for A. Brooks. Also, if you're not familiar with defensive players, I'd say that if a team scores 100 pts in a week (a rather avg week), offensive will put in about 65 pts (with 8 players) and defensive would score about 35 pts (with 6 players). |

Important FYI - the leagues I'm playing are a little different because we only start 1 RB. I've never heard of anybody else playing that way, but I think it makes the draft a little more interesting as opposed to the first 50 picks all being RB's. Anyway, the rest is standard I think - 1 QB, 3 WR's, 1 TE, 1 PK, 1 D. Whatcha think?
Team 1 QB- P. Manning QB- Carr RB- J. Lewis RB- Martin WR- Driver WR- Bruce WR- T. Williamson WR- Charles Rodgers TE - Gonzalez TE - Troupe K - Janikowski D - Jets D - Bears I took Manning with the #1 overall pick, and J. Lewis at the end of the 2nd. With Gates gone I snagged Gonzalez in the 3rd, hoping to still get a quality #1 WR in the 4th. No such luck - Daryl Jackson was picked 1 spot in front of me (I had him ranked as the 12th best WR and a big dropoff after that as the next 50 WR's all seemed to be the same) and I probably reached for Driver and Bruce with my next 2 picks. Team 2 QB - Hasselbeck QB - Brooks RB - Green RB - Rudi Johnson WR - Owens WR - Wayne WR - Branch WR - Lelie WR - Randle El TE - Heap K - Longwell D - Bucs D - Cowboys Not many regrets with this team. Did a really good job of getting value with my picks I think. While not planning on picking TO with the 6th overall, I figured it was worth it with Moss, Tomlinson, and Alexander gone. Still was able to get Green in the 2nd. Wayne was a sweet pick because there was a big dropoff in WR's after him. Got Hasselbeck and Brooks late. |

[ QUOTE ] There were positional requirements in this draft, which is why I show 2 - PK and 2 - Def on my roster. Scoring=6 pts. for rushing/rec. TD, 4 pt. for passing TD, 1 pt. for 10 yards rush/rec., 1 pt. for 25 yards passing, etc. QB: Favre QB: Carr QB: Seneca Wallace RB: Tomlinson RB: Tatum Bell (keeper) RB: Ronnie Brown RB: Chris Brown WR: Javon Walker WR: Andre Johnson WR: Troy Williamson WR: Kevin Curtis WR: Peerless Price TE: A. Gates (keeper) TE: Cooley D: Pittsburgh D: Minnesota K: Elam K: Jeff Reed Let me have it. [/ QUOTE ] Tatum Bell as a keeper, what did you do wrong last year? I'll say a B without knowing the number of teams. [/ QUOTE ] Sorry -- it was a 12-team league. Bell became a much weaker keeper when Anderson was announced the starter. That said, this league allows you to keep up to two players drafted in the 6th round or later, and they cost you two rounds before their draft position the previous year. So Bell was only costing me an 8th round pick. So I have a lot of upside at RB, but would like to have something a bit more initially solid. |
