I agree with Apathy's line. For river, check every time. For a club it really depends on recent history, either c/c or c/f I don't like a c/r ever except maybe on the Kc. For a blank, again depends leaning towards c/f if he's really nitty as originally described, for an unknown I'd tend towards c/c though.
