Running $50 up into $500 playing 60/50/5 style at Pokerroom and thinking I was god's gift to poker, while making plans to drop out of college and play for a living. Feeling sick when I lost every cent of it.

Depositing $10 at a time to play $5 SNGs, run it up to $40 or so and lose it all at .50/1.

Going to Vegas and going from casino to casino to find $2/$4 because $3/$6 was too rich for my blood. Getting genuinely upset at the idiot fish that rivered a gutshot on my TPTK that I played so perfectly and bitching about it to anyone that would listen. I now post blinds bigger than that pot.

I remember the day that they switched them from 100BB to 50BB. I also remember when $50NL was the biggest NL game in the place. There was no higher option.

The only good thing that came out of this was me finally putting serious money online. I was grinding the .10/.20 tables, and did calculations all through class when I heard about this, trying to figure out how much I would be giving up by not just depositing and moving to Empire from paradise.

Also, I remember keeping track of every session in an excel spreadsheet and writing down my thoughts next to every one about how I played that day. I remember taking a shot at .50/1 with ~$70, running my $25 buyin down to $7, then winning $20 with a flopped boat and vowing never to play that game again.
