[ QUOTE ]
Trouble is Kat's best was a 9, Taylor's best a 10. Kat's first song maybe a 5. Taylor's first maybe a 2 (as if that matters for him) [/ QUOTE ] I literally have a hard time believing anyone could rate Taylor's performance above Kat's as such. Kat's Rainbow was by far and away the best performance of the night. In fact, I believe it was the single best performance in the history of the show. Very disappointing night overall, other than that one song. taylor's second and third were slightly above average (6, maybe 7 on the second), but Taylor's first was sub-par (4/10), all three of Elliotts were average (5), and Kat's first was sub-par (4) and third average (5). |

I can't believe I'm the only one who thought "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" sounded terrible.
I also think Elliot got screwed on the song choice...and his voice is great, but his own song wasn't so hot either. Taylor had his best night by far IMO. |

Will someone who likes this guy please explain why? 1. He has a strong voice, but as he demonstrated tonight, its range has painful limits (he couldn't hit the high note on the Open Arms chorus). 2. He is completely, 100% devoid of any stage presence or charisma. I mean, I don't know if I've ever seen someone with less stage presence. 3. For the reasons stated above, he has an actual anti-ability to be a star. He seems quite well suited to be a lifelong lounge singer or Vegas performer, but that is it. Anyone care to address these points? |

hey dude, taylor sucks. that is all. [/ QUOTE ] I don't think he's a musical savior, trust me. But it speaks to my point that in defending Elliot, you can only rip someone else. Elliot reminds me, EVERY TIME he's on stage, of a high school kid in a lame production of Brigadoon. There are times when Kat reminds of this as well. There are times when Taylor reminds me of a lounge singer, but there are times when he is a hell of a lot of fun to watch and listen to. Regarding best songs, etc... We're all a little short-sighted if we think Kat's OTR was the best song ever performed on the show. It was easily, easily the best of the night, and perhaps her best this year. But I can't imagine a more impressive vocal performance than BB's a capella song last year. Unreal. And I would think we could remember others that were better. |

He has a better voice then both kat or taylor, and he doesn't try to yell and scream when singing.
If you saw rod stewart perform you'd say "he doesn't have any stage presence" because he doesnt dance around on stage. That said, out of the three he is the worst "american idol" But I think Kat sucks (she is 2-8 the last month) and Taylor can only do one genre. |
