Default Blind squirrel finds nut. Film at 11.

So I missed a button re-raise opportunity PF, and probably should have raised flop given my read that Villain didn't have a 9. Query: as played, is the turn shove standard?

Full Tilt Poker
No Limit Holdem Ring game
Blinds: $0.25/$0.50
9 players
Converter

Stack sizes:
UTG: $108.95
UTG+1: $57.80
MP1: $26.85
MP2: $39
MP3: $55.20
CO: $64.65
Turd: $43.60
SB: $45.75
BB: $64.60

Pre-flop: (9 players) Turd is Button with Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

Uncalled bets: $28.6 returned to Turd.

Results:
Final pot: $35.75

why am i not surprised he folded...? i think youre often wa/wb when someone min raises preflop and bets two streets. do you have any reads? is he a wimp, or is he not scared to put money in when you act weak? i think you should play passively and hope for the best because youre wa/wb...but then again that sets you up to have to call a big bet on the river.

After looking at this, I kind of like a turn smooth call. I dont think a raise at this point folds out better hands and you probably dont get many calls from worse hands. There arent really many scary river cards for you you either. If you smooth call the turn, you are still gonna stick your whole stack in there on the river.

i was thinking the same thing.. pushing will get worse hands to fold and better ones will call.

i like the call and get the rest in on the river.

I like the pf call, the flop call, and a turn call. Turn push only gets called by better hands.

Question to vulturesrow/beavens/anyone-- what is your plan if the river is a blank and villain checks?

hmm.. i think i'd probably make a 1/2 value bet.. either than or check behind.. but i feel that checking behind wouldnt be correct.

OP: read beavens's first post. His first sentense is what is important for you to know about this hand.

I agree that checking behind in this situation wouldn't be correct. This is in part why I pushed the turn -- if I call turn, I'd only have $25 left behind and a $35 pot, so I'd have to push anyway in your hypo. Is this the desired result (e.g. do we think we have the best hand here?)? Or am I over-thinking this?

i think by pushing the turn you are missing out on value. you wont get the extra $ from worse hands that look you up on the river and you let the best hands make an easy call.
