It's also possible that he pushed with junk a few times and then happened to get a few reasonable hands. This guy doesn't sound too bright, but even stupid people realize that if you continue pushing every other hand, people are going to make a stand pretty quickly.

I agree, it wouldn't be out of the question to think his range would continue to improve slightly the more times he sucessfully makes this play.
