[ QUOTE ]
Scientists predict that "Projected over the next five years the annual growth rate of poker will drop from 158%, the growth rate from the year 2000 to 2005, to around 18% from 2005 two 2010". [/ QUOTE ] "Scientists' predicted this? BFD. How about bean-counters and business people? They are the only ones I care about when it comes to projecting growth. Wall Street does cartwheels if the US GDP rises 3% in a year. I'm cool with 18% growth. Repost when these Einsteins predict <5% growth. |

The key is to keep improving your game. I prop full time and sometimes am only playing with "winning" players. I still beat them. One thing to remember is almost no one can play well all the time. A shark on tilt isn't a shark anymore!

Well, easier said then done. There is always room for progress, is there not? Anyways, for those cool with 18% and for those who are not, these are figures no one can change, unless we all orginese a strike and go through the main street of all the towns members of this forum live in, with transparants "Poker Shall Never Die" or something. Dedication like that could help to bring new fish about.

Without reading any of the other replies, I hope the squirrels die out first.

If the growth rate is positive, then it can't be dying.

Ok. If I say the growth rate is dying out, are you gonna feel better?
The fact is still the fact |
