Sorenson's WSOP bracelet wasn't stud/8 but just stud (it was on TV and they'd never show stud/8 on tv...)
Okay now that the nitpicking is over. Anyway if I can walk and am playing at a good enough level to make a WPT final table at 81 I'll take it for sure. Sidenote--who'd ever believe in this era there'd be a televised poker final table where Gavin Smith was the "young gun"? |

What chowderhead producer thought to ask for/insist on the tape? It's not in the clips from earlier action.
Is this anti 2+2 ism? I mean, I've seen guys with warships on thier caps. Who got the gig to go out and find tape that nearly matched the cap lol? ;~) |

Why is the WPT set so unusually dark. Last year's Doyle Brunson NAP Championship with Juanda, Kido Pham, and Mortenson was so much lighter and livelier. And yes, Courtney Friel is absolutely abysmal, whether it be an exit interview or trying to talk to Doyle Brunson in the crowd. She is really bringing down the show, she has no enthusiasm for the game whatsoever.

![]() Where's the tape? This invalidates the 'card rooms only' theory. It's obviously a no hat logo rule. :/ Lol at his nickname. |

They're picking some strange hands to show. 2 preflop steals, 1 preflop raise followed by a flop takedown. I must admit its nice to see 4 names I recognize at the end.

VVP really did say, "And we both know that Gavin Smith threw away one of the 8s" After the QQQ flop.
Two years ago I'd be outraged. A year ago I'd laugh. Now I just did a double take and say, oh yea, him. |

JJ vs. 88 all-in preflop (with one of the 8s dead no less). Some idiot editing the WPT thinks this is a dramatic place to put a commercial break.

I'm waiting for this to show in Vegas so I can see how often they had to splice Doyle-in-the-crowd shots.
When this final table was being played Doyle was in the stands for maybe an hour of it - the rest of the time he was back in the poker room playing (insert "Gus was in town and playing the big game" gag here). |
