Until Nomar gets hurt. He can't play 162 games out there. Choi has more upside than Saenz and is cheaper. How hard will the NL west be to win this year? 4 games above .500? LAD should have tried for something at least.

Yeah, maybe they should have tried for something, even a draft pick, but the Dodger farm is loaded. Choi just isn't part of their future. He has more upside, but Saenz is there because he's a veteran, so he'll be plan B if Nomar gets hurt, James Loney from Vegas will be plan C, and a trade will be plan D.
