Actually in Italy you can buy booze everywhere. Every gas station has a bar. You can buy it in supermarkets, little corner shops, any coffee shop, on trains etc. The best one I've seen is the local high school where I live. It's in a 4 story building. The school is in the top 3 floors. On the ground floor? You guessed it. A bar.
