From my research when buying mine (and some recent conversations with a buddy in the market) - the most important thing is really contrast ratio. That's what the eye will notice more than 1080 v 720 which is more of a marketing ploy than anything. IIRC - 720s actually better in some case depending on how much standard def tv you watch (though the chip is also really important in this case). It's a big purchase so take a couple hours to check out those forums if you haven't already. |
