Actions that constitute offensive pass interference include but are not limited to:

(a) Blocking downfield by an offensive player prior to the ball being touched

(b) Initiating contact with a defender by shoving or pushing off thus creating a separation in an attempt to catch a pass.

(c) Driving through a defender who has established a position on the field.

[/ QUOTE ]

Not saying it matters or it doesn't tonight, but that's the letter of the rule.

[/ QUOTE ]

If you go by the letter, by the time the ball is thrown, moss is usually already physically engaged with the DB via 'bilateral' initiation and they are leaning on each other for position. Moss is exceptional at disengaging and then boxing out quickly.

In other words, "pushing off". I'm not even saying this as a Colts fan or an anti-Pats guy, I've seen it in MN and Oakland. Its what he does. Take it for whatever its worth.
