Default AQo out-of-position; after getting 3-bet PF

First orbit after sitting down. I have only played one hand before and I won that hand without a showdown. Stats on the villian from a short previous session are 25/11/2. How would everyone here feel about getting raised on the flop? Also, am I correct to cap preflop?

Pre-flop: (9 players) Hero is UTG+1 with Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
UTG folds, <font color="#cc3333">Hero raises</font>, MP1 folds, <font color="#cc3333">MP2 3-bets</font>, 5 folds, <font color="#cc3333">Hero Caps</font>, MP2 calls.

I probably should not have capped here. What does capping accomplish in this spot?

Flop: A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (9.5SB, 2 players)
<font color="#cc3333">Hero bets</font>, <font color="#cc3333">MP2 raises</font>, Hero calls.

I bet out here because its a flop that I like... I get to hit my A. I am ahead of KK-QQ and behind AK. After getting raised I go into calldown mode. Should I have remained aggressive?

Turn: 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (6.75BB, 2 players)
Hero checks, <font color="#cc3333">MP2 bets</font>, Hero calls.

River: J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (8.75BB, 2 players)
Hero checks, MP2 checks.

Final pot: 8.75BB
