databases are not a good measure. if you have 100 hands against a -1BB/100 loser; the chances of him being up is not far from 50%. if that same player plays 1.6M hands, the chances are close to zero. in a random 250k hand database of mine, ill only have > 1k hands against a tiny fraction of the people in there. and when i do have >10k hands against someone, it's almost always because they're also playing professionally.
