It advertised it as 'Featuring The Undertaker, Hulk Hogan etc.', and gave the impression that these wrestlers would be appearing on every show. So I kinda presumed that they would be rehashing the same thing every night.

They of course make money from these "house shows" but also use them to test audience reaction to new storylines, turning someone from heel to face, etc. Everyone involved understands that if it doesn't happen on tv, it never really happened at all.
