Were you picked first or last for the sports team?

I don't remember all these sports being "picked".

we did it for kickball (where I ruled, hit the only recorded true home run at my elementary school, holla).

we did it for football, where I was picked in top third probably.

and we did it for basketball, I was an average-ish pick.

we never really played volleyball. we played "kill the man with the ball", but that was 1 vs. everyone. also a lot of fun, good practice for punt returning.

I went to a very athletic focused overnight camp from 8 YO on, but things tended to be very team focused - we didn't tend to form new teams every day, or the coaches/refs would do it to make sure the teams were balanced.

somewhat related, I was only an ok athlete in elementary school. I turned into a really good one in 7th grade or so (captains of various teams, etc).

now I'm 32 and about 25 pounds overweight and havent done anything in years. my buddy (who still runs 4 times a week, but was never much of anything except a good runner) bet me he could beat me in a 20 yard dash. I'm gonna smoke his ass.
