I should clarify that when I stated "out of your league", it was meant more in the general public's perception.

I do believe though that there is a limit to what people will accept. For example, an unattractive girl might be able to charm me, but a 400lb woman never, ever will, no matter how good her game or personality is. Therefore, I am out of her league. Of course, this doesn't mean that she wouldn't be able to find someone similar to me that might accept her.
