Sorry, but the agency responsible for you hurtling "through the air 30,000 feet above the ground at 600 miles per hour" is the Federal Aviation Administration, not the Transportation and Safety Administration, which was created after 9/11. They are only GS-09, so yeah, they wouldn't know how to spell "determined".
