The command line still comes in handy once in awhile. I've had a few occasions when I was trying to copy a directory tree with Explorer, and got an error on one file, which would terminate the copy before it finished. There's a switch for xcopy that will continue after an error, so you can do the copy, then figure out what the problem is with that one file, and fix it.
