Default Re: High Stakes Poker thread (9/24) (Spoilers in Thread to come?)

I overestimate the strength of the current lineup on HSP.

baxter lacks alot of fundamentals yet is probably one of the top 3 players at this table. that is how bad this table is. none of the top pros at the table are nl cash game specialist and it's easy to tell if you grind nl 4-8 hrs a day (maybe except for harmen, alot of nitty tendencies there). evaluating a bad player as a bad player is not an insult. shoving a bunch of non-existing skills that baxter processes down a nl player's throat like we couldn't tell for ourselves, now that is insulting. baxter is no uberdonk but he's not good at all.

I'm guessing all the players are solid, the exception being Safai

i don't need to guess. judging from this comment alone tells me you have absolutely no idea what the term "solid" means.

the game plays way different from what online is like. I'm not sure you can adapt with in 100 hands and be totally in tune. Dont think for a second that pots would play out the way they do online, imo there would be a totally different dynamic to them.

there are tons of 25nl games that are exactly like this going on everyday. just look for the 60% player per flop tables. the hsp money might cause more stress but the dyamic are basically the same. donk raise, you reraise, two donk calls, one has k7s, bet flop take money. yeah live is so much different. good grief they can see my face, can't wait for a decent hand in position, must play k3os, oh knoeeeeeeeeees.
