[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] Gillick is done after next season. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=3036310 [/ QUOTE ] he made moves that really really didnt work out. glad he picked up romero, woulda liked troy percival and lots of other guys not named jose mesa. [/ QUOTE ] I'd give him like a B-, and really if he ends up just being an interim fix for all the [censored] longterm problems heaped on the team by Ed Wade, then he should get an A+. While maybe he didn't make a ton of GREAT moves, let's no underestimate the detritus that he cleared out, and you needed a full 3 yrs to do that. Too bad the Phillies' ownership isn't moving to Seattle to spend more time with Gillick's family too. |
