[ QUOTE ]
If they could get this format going, it has the potential to be a monster. From other threads on this same subject, I don't think they really want to spread it. [/ QUOTE ] Yes, I can understand this point of view. They even had a piece of paper "advertising" 1-1-2 blinds 500 min, taped behind their standing tournament ad on the front desk, but one problem: The paper with the no-limit advertising was flipped on the other side of the stand, so that no one could see it. However, evidence is still there that people don't actually want to play it: (a) People know about it. The floorman talks about it. It doesn't take long for word to spread, and if several people ask for it, they will start a game. I'm probably one of only a handful to ask for it. (b) If the casino doesn't want really want to spread it, then they don't have to spread it. 1-1-2 isn't the sticking point, it's the 500 min. Make it 200 to 300 and then I think people will come out of the woodwork. The blinds are too small for the high-rollers, and the minimum buy-in is too big for the small timers. Just look at Lucky Chances 1-1-2, and Hayward's 1-2-2. They have minimums that are affordable to the small time gamblers. Garland |
