[censored] 10 NL on stars is not possible I'm down 10 buyins in 5k hands [/ QUOTE ] 10 BI in 5K hands is not too far out of whack. If you are playing good, aggressive poker at 10NL, you will have really big swings at this level. The problem is that, as you are pointing out, so many people suck out on you. What we need to remember is that this is how we get paid off at this level, they try to suck out, but miss. Also, on the weekends if you really want to maximize your profits, you need to be very dilligent in your table selection. Typically the wanna' be Gus Hansen's and Sam Farha's show up and they splash around in every pot trying to take people off of their hands with draws and mid-pair hands - I would have to imagine that there are an abundance of these lagtards on Stars, because UB has a lot and has nowhere near the population that Stars does. Obviously, once we find these Super System dropouts we wait for a big enough hand to beat them (for some we need 2 pair or a set, for others TP will do) and let them donk their stacks away. EDIT: One thing that I should add in thinking a little more. Your 10BI downswing is most likely not all bad beats and coolers. There is a high level of frustration tilt that comes with playing 10NL. I know that my winrate would probably be .5 PT BB/100 higher if I were able to curb this. I think that you should go back and review your play over the last 5k hands and think about how much of the -10BI's was tilted away. This really helped me put the level of play into perspective when I realized how much I was throwing down the drain. |
