hah yah the differences in real estate markets is insane. My place is 1800 for a 3 bed 3 bath about 3 miles from down town chicago in a trendy neighborhood. My friend has a place a few blocks north of the magnificent mile, chicagos rodeo drive, and he pays a 950 or something. His apartment is a really small studio, with a window a/c unit. Another freind of mine went to school at SIU, and was thinking about renting an entire house in the town over for 300$ a month.
