Genral tipping advice in LV

Not a LV question, but since this is the general tipping thread....

In my regular room in the Bay Area the brush has recently started calling me by name. Besides making me very cognizant of my degeneracy, it made me aware that I had never tipped her. I've started giving $1 when I first put me name on a list.

Does anyone else tip the brush? Is $1 insulting?

While I'm at it, does anyone regularly tip the floor, or only when they do something for you? Again, is $1 insulting?
