I'm guessing that this is one of those plays that are marginal overall. There will probably be some players that agree with it, and others that hate it. Here's my opinion.
PF call is fine. But folding is also good. The flop raise is also ok, and you are obviously committed to calling after that. However, the only hands he folds are hands that check the turn a good % of the time. Depending on how stubborn he is with a hand like JJ, you may want to just float the flop and bet the turn. I think the standard player will give up to a flop call and turn bet with JJ-. But there are some that won't fold to a float. In those cases, raising the flop is better IMO. |
