you're wrong...there are over 100% video poker machines with memorized basic strategy

I have family members that beat those games routinely for fun

Obviously as it is this easy, they are thinking about going pro right? After all if you can beat a gambling machine so easy (just for fun) whats stopping them from scooping all this easy cash on a daily basis?

Are you aware that in Nevada (it’s even printed on the machines) that games played with representations of player cards must have the same odds as if the game was dealt from a randomly shuffled real deck of cards? What this means is that it’s really easy to verify if machines pay out more or less than 100% with optimal play, all you need to know are the rules of the video poker machine, the payout structure, and a computer to solve the game. You've been told about the location of a couple > 100% machines, but continue to argue the point without any facts to back you up.

The fact that I don't know anyone smart enough to figure out and memorize the correct strategy, but dumb enough implement it on a $0.25 machine professionally for three years, netting less than minimum wage, has nothing to do with whether positive VP machines exist.
