Well, you said that to you it's pretty much standard. We can argue over semantics, but to me that's more or less the same thing as saying it's universal.

And I've worked for several corporations and I've definitely seen it happen. However, as The Diablo mentioned, it's simply another form of favoritism. The good old boy network is still alive and well.

Saying that something to me is standard is the same as saying it's universal? No, not at all, and it's not even close to semantics.

Further, I again asserted, even though my language had already been particularized and not general, that what I said pertained to me and my experiences. Taking oneself for the world is never a good idea, but I didn't do it here.
