Default Re: Ask Yugo Anything!!

[ QUOTE ]
Do you think there is a fat gene?

[/ QUOTE ]

From the little I know about genes I'm sure there is at least 1 strongly connected with creating and retaining fat. I wouldn't be surprised if there is pretty good research already that maps a few genes as playing a role in the fat process.

[ QUOTE ]

Are some people destined to be fat?

[/ QUOTE ]

I firmly believe pretty much everyone can not be fat if they want to be. That being said, I'm sure there are exceptions. But my guess is the % of exceptions is negligible.

[ QUOTE ]

Is my fat friend fat because of his genes or it's because he's lazy and doesn't exercise?

[/ QUOTE ]

The latter. Genes certainly play a role but whatever, he's fat simply b/c he eats too many calories and doesn't burn enough.

[ QUOTE ]

What's the fastest time you ever run a mile?

[/ QUOTE ]

I've never ever timed myself. I'd imagine less than 10 minutes, .

[ QUOTE ]

What country you think is the porn capital of the world?

[/ QUOTE ]

The US? I'd guess we have the biggest market due to how repressed everyone is sexually plus the availability of internet.

[ QUOTE ]

Would you kill some one else's beloved dog for 100k?

[/ QUOTE ]

That seems pretty messed up. Your dog? Sure, .

[ QUOTE ]

You won't get caught though.

[/ QUOTE ]

Oh, I already assumed this, lol.

[ QUOTE ]

Do they have a caterpillar roll in Japan?

[/ QUOTE ]

I dno, it's prolly named with those weird symbols that don't mean anything to me though. So it's prolly called something like straight line, slanted line followed by 4 dots and separated by 3 horizontal lines.

[ QUOTE ]

I'm finally moving out of my parent's house to live with my buddies. What do you think we should share and what we shouldn't share.

[/ QUOTE ]

I don't know you at all so it's hard to advise. Do you generally like sharing? I don't mind but really only share utility stuff and *sometimes* food, but only if I like the same stuff as my roomies.

[ QUOTE ]

In the beginning one of my house mate wanted to share toothpaste, water, and food.

[/ QUOTE ]

That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard of. The toothpaste thing anyway.

[ QUOTE ]

I thought that is the stupidest [censored] ever so I said hell no.

[/ QUOTE ]

Word. Don't be one of those ppl who gets run over by everyone, .

[ QUOTE ]

I think that we should try to share the least stuff so we won't argue over it. What do you think?

[/ QUOTE ]

The fewer things you share the better honestly unless you really really need to save money. Sharing space and things like rent/utilities is more than enough to possibly fight over, .

[ QUOTE ]

Have you seen the VH1 tv show the pickup artist?

[/ QUOTE ]

Yes. Yes I have.

[ QUOTE ]

Do you think it is real?

[/ QUOTE ]

Yes, of course it's real. It's going to be extremely edited and it's also likely ppl are going to be fed lines or helped with what they're saying by the show writers. But so far I haven't heard or seen anything that is remotely unreasonable.

I posted about my initial thoughts of the episode in that big OOT thread.

[ QUOTE ]

Do you think Las Vegas is located where it's at right now because it's hot there so people must stay inside to stay cool which causes people to gamble?

[/ QUOTE ]

Lol not really, I'm sure a quick search on the innanets will explain better than I could why a city was created there in the first place. It's a remote location for a reason so that ppl can escape into a different world of excess and debauchery.

[ QUOTE ]

Is david sklanksy good at poker?

[/ QUOTE ]

Extremely. He's also good at appreciate scrippaz. That's the only type of conversation I've ever had with him irl, ldo.

[ QUOTE ]

Can you tell the difference between 7up and sprite?

[/ QUOTE ]

Yeah, I like Spite better b/c of teh sweet. If I want a bitterish kick I go for ginger ale, Canada dry (I knew those Canadians were useful for something!)

[ QUOTE ]

Do you think Jman became so good at poker because sacrificed so much?

[/ QUOTE ]

I don't think he's sacrificed anything he's interested in. Maybe he'd have more time to think about Philosophy or other types of things if he didn't spend so much time on poker...but I mean, he was never that interested in school to begin with.

[ QUOTE ]

Instead of going out with his friends he would stay home to study poker?

[/ QUOTE ]

Ehhh, he has a ton of friends, I really don't think he'd have gone out 2352344 times more if he hadn't gotten into poker. In fact, his life would likely be significantly more boring b/c he wouldn't have that wildstylez Vegas component.

[ QUOTE ]

Can we all become like Jman if we study?

[/ QUOTE ]

Unfortunately, probably not. We can all get better but he's really got the tools, the passion, and the motivation to be extremely good.

[ QUOTE ]

Do you think he works harder than all of us?

[/ QUOTE ]

Yeah, that too. But a lot of it has to do with his drive and passion.

[ QUOTE ]

What's stop you from becoming Jman?

[/ QUOTE ]

I've never been motivated to BE THE BEST PERIOD at poker, nor do I have the raw passion for it he does.

[ QUOTE ]

Have you ever been to a strip club?

[/ QUOTE ]

Lol, this is like asking Barry Bonds if he's hit a home run before. Well, ok, not quite, but c'mon!

Yeah, I never actually went to one until like 2.5 years ago. Now I've been to a bunch, especially in Vegas. I've gone with huge VIP groups, small groups, groups containing several women, just myself and a special lady friend, just me and a buddy, never alone though. To me it's really a place that enhances hanging out with friends to begin with, not a destination that I need to be in for entertainment.

[ QUOTE ]

What are some of your favorite quotes?

[/ QUOTE ]

I don't collect quotes. But anything from Soren Kierkegaard and anything from Morihei Ushiba.

My catchphrase quote is: "Life is easy" which I coined myself, .

[ QUOTE ]

What you think are your greatest acomplishments so far in life?

[/ QUOTE ]

I have to come back to this one. Honestly I just love the person I've been able to become. I haven't always felt this way and it's an extremely liberating feeling to have day in an day out.

[ QUOTE ]

Do you really live life to the fullest every single day? What exactly does that mean? How do you do that?

[/ QUOTE ]

I try to, yes. But "fullest" is extremely subjective and to me it often simply means being as fully present as I can in everything I do.

One thing that has helped me IMMENSELY is writing a blog every day this year. I've written 195 blogs so far (yeah, not every day but whatever, lol) and I just focus on anything and everything that I feel is important to me in that moment or I need to work out. It's kept me on track and reminded of how I want to keep progressing internally and externally, that's for sure!

As far as living it every day...I face challenges from everywhere and I simply want to deal with them in a way that allows me to be happy most of the time as well as inject myself into my endeavors.

This is a great topic for a blog post so I will likely borrow it in the future, .
