as usual a bunch of wrong info comes out.
1. springs dont tend to get weak from sitting compressed in a mag. but you are betting your life on it. but you shouldnt let your gun sit in the closet for a year and expect it to work unless its a revolver. even then you need to give it some use. 2. a shot gun at very close range only puts out a very small circle of pellets. maybe only less than a foot wide. too easy to miss as you dont have time to bring it up and aim. and its unweldy around corners. 3. what stops soneone is the bullets expending energy inside the body. so a expanding bullet is what works. a bullet can go thru and still do tremendous damage. another can stay inside and do little. the lighter weight bullets in most calibers do the most damage as they expand because of their higher velocity. 4. a little .22 that is fired from someone that is very familiar with it. is much more potent and likely to win than a bigger caliber gun that isnt familar. 5. racking the slide is fine on tv. all it does is give away your position and you could have been shot already while walking around with an unloaded weapon. if you want to give a warning -yell- get out the police are on the way. think before you pick up a gun. |
