Default Re: 9mm vs. .45 ACP

every gun thread is the same. people rec. all types of guns when someone just wants something simple easy and reliable.

If you decide to get a automatic get a Glock 19. They are cheap and really popular. you can find all types of parts for them dirt cheap. You can also find used ones around for around 350$. I have one that I love. If I just had to get one gun that's what I would buy.

My dad just got this for my mom to keep in her car, purse, etc. It's a Smith and Wesson 38 caliber revolver.

If I were you I would really prolly get a little 38 like this. You can throw it in your car or pocket or wherever you need it. They are easier to take apart and clean. They are really cool also in their simplicity.

Everyone knows that shotguns are better for home defense but getting a pistol is fun to take your buddies out to shoot cans and stuff.

I think she got thi sone for around 360 after taxes and everything. They are really light also which is a plus if you are carrying it.

You can get them with or without a hammer. without is good for the reasons above. But I sorta like having the hammer on there.
